Jaylor 5650

Jaylor 5650, this is the smallest twin auger PowerFarming stock, smaller options are available on request. PowerFarming introduced its predecessor the 3650 back in 2007. The Twin 5650 is well suited for medium herd size of 475-500 cows and up to 900 cows in split herd situations. This comes with all the standard features of Jaylor and twin square cut augers rotating at max 41 rpm. The slide plate designed auger ensures the feed is quickly sent to the top of the bowl for controlled cutting and processing. The standard auger has 9 knives with provision to increase up to 13 knives per auger if required.  The increased auger rotation coupled with the added knives allows for flexibility and control so not to over-cut the feed. Mixing time for these models can be as low as 4-5 minutes when blending or processed supplementary feed is used. These are driven with 540 PTO input from 100 hp tractors. These come standard with a selectable reduction gearbox fitted between the tractor-driven input PTO shaft and the first auger box. The reduction aids start up where feed has had to be left in the mixer for some time and reduces the load on the tractor upon start up. A very simple low maintenance machine. Standard 6 ft flat and 41 inch elevator is fitted.

Jaylor 5750. PowerFarming introduced its predecessor the 3750 back in 2007. This is the most cost effective twin auger with near 22 cubic capacity. This model has a high specification with 1000 PTO rpm input which very effectively decreases the load on the tractor. This unit also comes standard with the reduction start up gearbox. With the increased input drive speed and the planetary gearbox’s having twin reduction this enables the auger speed to be maintained at 38 rpm. Fitted with reinforced 17 inch rims and 26 ply tyres the mixed load capacity of over 11,000 kg wet mixed feed over 4 wheels is no stress. The mixer has twin axles with centre oscillation for moving over rough ground, this effectively reduces the bowl pitching by over 50% when moving over nib walls. All the twin auger machines come with wide angle series 8 drive shafts. This unit weighs in at just 5,000 kg empty.  The standard warranty package applies.

Jaylor 5850, this increased capacity machine has a much larger steel bowl. With 16inch extensions capacity can be increased to 27 cubic metres. Extremely manoeuvrable like all the other twin machines due to the design positioning of the axle, which in set just behind centre of the loaded bowl. This has a dramatic effect on reducing the load down pressure on the tractor drawbar. Its ability to turn in a short area has to be seen. This is the first model that can also be ordered as a Heavy Duty model HD. That means walking beam axle and increased Auger flight thickness of ¾ inch is available upon request.

• 5 years Pro-rata warranty on the main Auger gearbox
• 4 years on the DG scales,
• The elevator and rest of the machine has standard 12 months.
