NAME CHANGE FOR MAJOR TASMANIAN AGRICULTURE AND MACHINERY BUSINESS
Monday 2nd March, Total Ag Solutions will be changing its name and its branding to Tasmac.
The business has a long and rich history in agriculture and in Tasmania, dating back to 1946. It was purchased and privatised in March 2017, when it was then trading as Tasmania Farm Equipment and owned by RuralCo. Since then it has quickly grown into being one of Tasmania’s leading machinery dealerships with four branches across Tasmania and employing over 55 local staff.
The name change recognises our Tasmanian heritage and focus. It also recognises more fully the different customer segments that we trade in – agriculture and farming, construction and Lifestyle, sometimes known as mowing.
This name change is complemented by the launch of a new branch in Launceston that opened in December last year to service the North East of Tasmania and a further commitment to the other three branches in Smithton, Hobart and Devonport. Tasmac now has unrivalled customer coverage with branches in four locations across Tasmania.
The change of the business name will have no effect on the hardworking team. “We are excited about the team we have, as well as the commitment our brands have given to Tasmac, it really is business as usual.” Core brands for the business remain Kubota, Massey Ferguson and Fendt. The objective has always been to deliver the best service to the Tasmanian agriculture and construction industry, with the emphasis on working hard every day to make this aim a reality. “The business remains privately owned and locally operated and has an unrivalled branch network covering all of Tasmania, but yet the focus is on the customer. We are here for the tradies, we are here for the farmers, we are here for you,”.
It is believed that these changes will have a positive impact on the company, but also that this will positively impact the agriculture and construction industry as Tasmac commits to the future and success of these industries in Tasmania. Many thanks are extended to new and existing customers as well as past and present staff members
